APS Gun Club

Who are we?

The Australian Protective Service Gun Club

The APS Gun Club was established in 1988 to provide a competitive and safe place to shoot the Australian Police & Services Match (APSM) competition for members who were largely working in Police, Customs or the Australian Protective Services.

Membership is open to all former and serving members of the positions listed above - civilians are also welcome to join with the understanding that the club is built around the APSM competition.

Safe, relaxed and open to everyone

We have a good proportion of women in our club and offer a supportive and encouraging environment to learn to handle firearms safely.
We also encourage junior members, aged 12 or over, provided that they are supervised by responsible parents or guardians. Juniors, even when licenced, must remain under the supervision of a licensed adult shooter.
