Range Days
The APS Gun Club has the following scheduled range days:
1st and 2nd Saturdays of the month, and the 3rd Sunday of the month.
We have the range all day, although the competition is usually shot at 0900.

Additional Range Use
Now that we are back on our main range, members are able to use it during the week, if none of the other clubs haven't already booked it. If you intend to use the range outside of the above nominated dates, you must follow the following instructions:

- Notify David or Lawrie by SMS or email that you are going out to the range.
- Stop in at Range 1 and advise the Range Officer on duty that you are going to Range 8, how many of you and when you will be finished. Make sure you have a key to get out of the complex if you are shooting past the closing time! Speak with the Range Officer to sort out leaving the complex if you are finishing after they leave.
- Raise the red flag at Range 8 and move both signs to the "Range Open" position
- When you finish, put the flag away and change both signs to the "Range Closed" position.
- Notify the Range Officer at Range 1 that you are leaving - if they are still there.
Rifle Shooting
In addition to the pistol range days listed above, the club also shoots a 4 position rifle competition on the
3rd Saturday of each month, at the Crater Range.
This is a friendly competition, with 5 shots fired in each of 4 positions - prone, sitting, standing with support and standing without support. For rimfire, the targets are at 25 metres, and for centrefire they are at 100 metres.
The competition commences at 9am.
